إنَّ من المسائل التي وقع فيها خلافٌ کبيرٌ بين علماء الدِّين، ويوردها کثيرٌ من المفسرين، وعددٌ من أصحاب السِّير والمحدِّثين، وهُم فيها بين مُبطلٍ لها ، وبين مثبتٍ وموجهٍ لها: قصة الغرانيق. والقصة باختصار هي: أنَّ الشيطان قد ألقى على لسان رسول الله r کلماتٍ قالها، وهي قوله: (تلک الغَرَانيقُ العُلَى، وإنَّ شَفَاعتهن لتُرتجَى) ، وهو يقرأُ r بمکة سورة: ﱡﭐ ﱁ ﱠ ، على جمعٍ من المسلمين والمشرکين، فلمّا سمعوها تعجّبوا من ثناء النّبي rعلى آلهتهم بخير، فسجدوا معه.
فأَشکلَ على کثيرٍ من الجَهابذة علماء الدين، من المفسِّرين والمحدِّثين، المتقدمين منهم والمتأخرين، فهم هذه الآيات؛ لاختلافهم في ثبوت قصة الغرانيق، أو توجيهها إن ثبتت عند بعضهم.
وحينما کنت أُقلّب عدداً من المخطوطات، في فهارس المکتبات، وقع نظري على مخطوطةٍ في تفسير هذه الآيات، للشيخ مصطفى بن محمد العروسي، المتوفى بمصر سنة
ونظراً لوجود هذا الاختلاف، فقد أطال العلماءُ الحديث عن قصة الغرانيق في کتبهم،
ومنهم من أَلّفَ فيها مؤلفات، قديماً وحديثاً.
1293هـ. سمَّاها مؤلفها : "الهداية بنور الولاية".
ورأيتُ أنّه ـ رحمه الله ـ جمع فيها نقولاً، وحرّر فيها أقوالاً، مشتملةً على فوائد علمية، مجتهداً فيها بتحرير المسألة، وتوضيح الحقِّ فيها. وحيث إنِّ هذه الرسالة لم تحقق بعدُ ـ حسب اطلاعي وسؤالي ـ وقع اختياري على تحقيق هذه الرسالة، واخراجها على وفق القواعد العلمية المعتمدة في تحقيق المخطوطات.
